About

Business and technology, learned at the same time.

I'm an Honours BComm student in Business Technology Management at Telfer, graduating December 2026 — and most of what I've done outside class has been about testing that combination in real settings.

The story

My interest in this intersection started early, through a program at The Knowledge Society exploring the foundations of AI, blockchain, and quantum computing, including a strategy project with the Kenyan nonprofit Kidogo. That curiosity turned into something more concrete during a year as a Page in the House of Commons, which gave me a close look at how federal institutions actually operate day to day. Since then, I've worked on both sides of that equation: as a Neighbourhood Profile Analyst Co-op at the Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre, synthesizing Statistics Canada and open government data into reports that shaped real community planning decisions, and now as Director of Volunteer Recruitment for a community association, where I lead recruitment and retention strategy for field teams of 40+ volunteers and coordinate with residents, local groups, and municipal partners.

Those experiences — federal process, community-level data analysis, and hands-on program leadership — are what pulled me toward Business Technology Management rather than a purely business or purely technical path. I'm looking toward Ottawa's federal-tech sector next: roles in digital modernization and program delivery where I can apply that same mix of stakeholder communication and evidence-based decision-making.
